DESCRIPTION:This online webinar will feature Dr. Anand Iyer\, MD\, MSPH from the University of Alabama-Birmingham\, a leading pulmonologist and advocate for reducing healthcare disparities\, particularly for people living with chronic respiratory issues. Dr. Iyer will be joined by Chrysalis Ashton\, BSRC\, RRT\, the Director of Clinical Operations for Carelinc Medical\, a large durable medical equipment supplier in the Midwest\, Mike Hess\, MPH\, RRT\, RPFT\, Senior Director for Public Outreach and Education for the COPD Foundation\, and up to two oxygen therapy users\, representing different backgrounds and experiences. The Summit will feature a brief educational presentation followed by a roundtable discussion on how the various stakeholder groups can work together to improve communication and coordination in order to streamline oxygen therapy access. The event will be conducted live via an online videoconferencing platform\, which will allow attendees to ask questions of all panelists in real-time.
